Fabulous Annual Pendyrus Gala Concert tonight at Tylorstown Sports Centre.
The packed audience response from last night’s concert was overwhelming, ending with a standing ovation to the 93-strong Pendyrus Choir, Treorchy school choir and our amazing soloists Shân Cothi, Rhys Meirion, Aled Wyn Davies and Sydney Richards. Particular thanks go to the hard work of Bill Richards, Robert Williams, Cyril Jones and many others for making tonight such a success!
We’ve also been inundated with emails, tweets and Facebook messages today congratulating us on our performance, in particular, many congratulations to Stewart Roberts, Gavin Parry and the 93 strong Pendyrus Male Choir who performed an entertaining and varied programme with great style and precision. The sound was of the highest quality with great balance. Well done to Tony Mullins as compere and Rhys Meirion, Aled Wyn Davies and Shân Cothi who performed magnificently. Sydney Richards sang a Sondheim song with great maturity. She was amazing !. The Treorchy Comprehensive School Choir sang Nick Bristow’s arrangements so sensitively and emotionally. It was hairs on the back of the neck time!
