Pendyrus invited to represent Wales at the Festival Interceltique De Lorient, Northern France.
Wales has the honour this year of being the lead nation for only the 3rd time in the Festival’s 48 year history and Pendyrus Male Choir have been invited to represent Wales at the 2018 ‘Festival Interceltique De Lorient’ in Northern France, they last appeared there in 2011. Pendyrus, who now have in excess of 110 choristers, many of whom are below the age of 21, making them one of the biggest male choir’s in Wales. Their Musical Director, Stewart Roberts said “in as much as Wales is the lead nation at this year’s festival, we are very proud to have received the invitation to appear again”. The last occasion being 2011. The photograph below shows Pendyrus performing in front of some 20,000 in the audience. Stewart Roberts conducts Pendyrus and the massed bands from many Celtic Nations world wide.
